I still use disposables at night. I'm not game to use cloth, Maddie wees SO much during the night. During the day not so much.

The pea pods still to big Assisi??? Hopefully they will fit soon! And they will probably fit for ages!!! Maddie doesn't look like growing out of them for ages yet. She's still on the tightest setting! But the itti's she's getting close to being too big! It means I'm going to get to buy more nappies soon!!! YAY!!!

I got my fluffy mail today I am so excited, however it's all so intimidating! Everything looks so big and I'm wondering how all the little pants I have bought will even fit over her big CD'd booty

I'm trying to convince my husband we need more nappies... (we do, but not right now). I figure if i start now, then by the time we do need then I will be able to get them!

I plan on mostly using prefolds and covers during the day and using the bigger ones at night.

I've only found that to be true when the prefolds are too big. I mean, sometimes that is unavoidable since they only come in so many sizes (premiums are HUGE on DS at the moment). But when they fit, they fit really trim.

The fitteds definitely tend to be that way, I'm not sure about PFs. The thing about our dipes is that the fitted dipe itself isn't *extremely* bulky, but our covers are because we do fleece. I would think that pfs would be trimmer than pockets because you don't have all that added bulk that the inserts and doublers bring.

Are they terry flats? Or are they the ones that are like flats but have some shape to them?

It's funny how every child is different. I don't use disposables at night because they leak. But I've never had a problem with terry towelling.

I just ordered a package of fancy cloth nappies which angelsgirl found online. They look exciting. One BumGenious, one Haute, and one Happy Heiny. Has anyone used these one size nappies? Do they really grow with the baby? I'm thinking it will be cheaper if we can get one size nappies which will grow with Matt.

You ladies (ok, mostly angelsgirl) are making me all adventurous and excited about my nappies.

ETA: I notice that a lot of these nappies are very colourful and have lots of different patterns. I am sticking to the white, but I ordered one red one (Matt wears a lot of red and navy). Which do you prefer? Bright, patterned nappies? Or traditional white?

I'm def a colour girl... i don't have any nappies with patterns on them, but i have a fair few minky coloured ones!!! I don't own a white nappy (apart from the terry toweling flats i have that i use as spew rags!)

Maybe I should try the terry flats when she is sleeping... Is Matt a heavy wetter???
I have some PVC covers as well as a PUL and a wool... which one would be better for overnight use?

They are pretty much the same thing. Except the terry toweling nappy only has one layer. You fold it to get multiple layers. On that site they referred to them as the 'old fashioned diapers.'
They were huge when I put them on Maddie. She could barely move her legs they were that chunky!

Oh, definitely colors and patterns! Difficult to find anything super duper cute in boy stuff...but we LOVE colors and patterns!!!

I'm not a big fan of the BG, just because they don't fit my guy's toosh well. I like the HH and I'm waiting on our first HP. I'm a bigger fan of the chunky monkey, blueberry and preston pants.

My stash is very simple - 18 BGs that I split between the two boys. I have 12 white, 3 blue and 3 green. I have 18 OS CB microfiber inserts and 3 Wonder-Fulls One Size Hemp Inserts that I use over night.
