  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I too get leaks with sposies. Not every time... But about 1/2 the time.
Don't get any leaks with cloth... (unless i leave them on her for way too long, which has happened a couple of times with being out and then thinking we'll get home in time... yeah right!)

I'm getting more fluffymail soon. Pity it's not for me! I'm in charge of ordering all of my sisters cloth nappies. She doesn't want to order from the net. Hopefully I get my fluffy mail fix from that! Not long til I get to meet my niece or nephew! Can't wait!

ooohhh... but i am getting a pair of baby legs! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!
DH hates them. My sisters DH hates them. So we bought one for each other for Christmas!

We absolutely LOVE the baby legs but I'm curious as to why you don't Leanna? We didn't at first but now...we LOVE them. They are also convenient to put under pants for an extra layer of warmth.

They go hand in hand with it for me...because he has so much fluff that it is hard to put pants over them. I can put him in a diaper, a shirt and baby legs and he'll still be warm. :)

Why do babylegs "go with" cloth diapering...Just curious.
I had never heard of babylegs until about a year ago, so I've never used them. I can see how they would be helpful, but I'm not crazy about how they look. lol

I don't like the way they look, they are leg warmers like back in the 80's. I have a friend who puts her boy in them and she is often complaining that she doesn't know why people assume ds is a girl, and I don't have the heart to tell her its probably the leg warmers. :/

They totally seem like the kind of trend that we'll laugh about in 10 years.

I haven't had a problem with babylegs here in Germany, then again, it's very normal for boys to wear tights under their pants with socks during cold weather... among other things. His clothes and his BLs are boy-colors. I have nearly no gender neutral clothes other than his 0-3 month stuff which was purchased before we knew if we had a boy or a girl.

They help loads when trying to change him in the cooler weather, in keeping him warm. I could see where potty learning would be made easier as well. Some folks like them, some don't. I find them LOADS easier than putting on and taking off tights 10 times a day, or per diaper change... He pulls on them and i figure if he takes them off, he's too warm. He's in a mood to take his socks off too, which I do have to control so he won't catch cold.

I find more people using them for EC than cloth diapering mamas... but that's just my experience.

Jonathan gets confused once in a blue moon for a girl by people at our pedi practice, and they say it's his coloring and beautiful expressive eyes. Most the time it's just them not checking his chart and being aware of their surroundings. I dress him in boy clothes so there's really no way to confuse him if you're paying attention. The kid still has only 'peach fuzz' hair so... no bows, no headbands.. it should be obvious at this point. :p

I agree with Leanna. To each their own I guess :sorry: Of course I don't really have a need for them anyways since where I live it's hot most of the year round. But even if it was cold enough I don't think I could put my boys in them :sorry:

LOL Thanks! I think those are the girliest ones we own. THe rest of them are definitely boy colors.

We've only ever had J mistaken for a girl once...and he was like, three months old in football clothes, top to bottom. This was pre-cd/babylegs for us, but we've not had that issue since we started. :D We enjoy them just because he is able to wear his monster fluff covers...and show them off at the same time. He can also wera them under his pants for an extra layer of warmth...which is super-handy. Totally to each his own, we love 'em, though!!! :D
