In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anna, our house hunting has been put on hold for a bit...we have much work to do here to ready our house for selling...not to mention, the house we were interested in has been sold. I'm believing in God for the perfect house and situation for us. :)

You know that is what I need to do (pick and choose which battles) and also my daughter is trying to get her own identity, I know.
She was always home, keeping to herself, her sisters and school work. And she has always done great in school, just about always highest honors (straight A's and she takes hard courses at school)
Last year she got a job and a car. And things have changed. Not her grades (so far anyways) :)
Thanks sweetie! I need to pick and choose the battles.

This is a great place to "hang out" (I haven't used that term in years LOL ) but it is. I am so glad we have CC.

I would have to do some fixing up if I were to sell my house too. I don't plan on selling anytime soon though.
But I am thinking about setting up the tent on my property and living in that by myself for a few years. :D :D :D

Things are going well!
Spent time at the little lake right by me yesterday which was real nice. Just my youngest daughter and myself. Did some fishing but didn't catch anything.

Gonna take it easy today.

Sounds like a great day yesterday...I love being by the water!

I'm doing ok...we have a rainy day here today, perfect for lazing around in my PJ's all day and I would do just that if I didn't have a client coming. :sigh:
Today is a holiday for us here in Ontario so that means my hubby's home for the day...I think, after my client, well sit around and watch kids movies and have lotsa popcorn! :clap:

Free2be, would love to go vacation in Canada. Actually I would love to go vacation anywhere right now.^_^^_^ My brother in law lived in Alberta for a few years and we went to see them. What a beautiful country. Loved the mountains!!!!!:thumbsup:

free2be, mags, everyone! I had not checked in here in a couple of days and I find you all talking about getting houses ready to sell, etc.

Well, I'd been working since May to get my house ready to sell. It's a duplex condo at the NJ shore. Prices have fallen 25% since 2 years ago but I bought 20 years ago. Yesterday I was looking at my huge list of things to do and my brother, his wife and another couple who're friends of theirs came over and said that they wanted to buy my house at my price. I DON'T HAVE TO GET A REALTOR! The price is a bit on the low side but I'll clear more in the end. I can stop my projects as my brother is a contractor. I can leave here and go back home to Florida the middle of next week! I'm so homesick for my church, etc.

Yippee! Doing a happy dance. Danced all yesterday afternoon! Happy happy happy!

Thank you Abba Father for the many blessings you have bestowed on your servant. May I be accounted worthy of them. I praise your name and lift up your son! I love you Lord! Amen and amen!
