Catholic's, at what point does it become the body?

Hate to sound crude, forgive me, but when?
The mouth, the digestive tract?
The colon?

In all fairness, if just saying they opened up a person on a hospital table, would they actually find flesh in a person after Eucharist?

With all due respect, the wafers are probably made in a factory, or a super huge kitchen, or something like that.

My pal and I were talking about this today, so I thought a simple blunt question, might prevail.

I promise, this is not a flame, but sometimes simplicity trumps a bunch of theology, and heady arguments from those for and against this doctrine.

there is one "miracle" that states the wafer started to bleed in the priests hand, so my guess is that you'll hear as soon as it's concecrated, the transubstatiation occurs.

Yeah you can never prove it using empirical sciences. empirical sciences look to the accidents and the accidents(Taste, smell, composition) remain the same. the substance which cannot be tested or even seen is what changes We walk by faith and not by sight. Philosophy can prove it and faith can but not science or your 5 senses.

Yep! The miracle can only be studied when God allows the accidents to be changed to.

to those who don't adhere to that belief, that only seems like a way to explain away what APPEARS to be wishful thinking or error.

it changes but it doesn't but it does but you can't see it or taste it or feel it but it does it does because we say it does.


interestingly enough, these Eucharistic miracles have NEVER or almost never (if anyone can find me ONE) occured when a non catholic has been around. Those of us who do not believe it is true, are never given the "faith jumpstart" that would likely bring the non catholic flocking to the church to sign up for membership.

just with Catholics, who are supposed to believe it in the first place. That feuls my skepticism, given the large number of miracle hoaxes that have been uncovered (and by which I am not placing blame on the Church itself.)

Not sure what that means, but what would someone to do who is allergic to it in the former case?
