The idea that any sort of "transition" can take place.

We all can go through periods of uncomfortability.

However - anyone who is convinced that God made a mistake or that they are something that they are not has been deceived by evil spirits.

It is an evil ideology penned by Satan himself.
It might be an idea, but it is not an ideology in any useful sense.

One thing I keep noticing on theses forums - the idea that gay and transgender people are making a life-style choice. They aren't.

Behavior is a choice. Attraction/feelings are not.

I find that transgenderism is being promoted as an ideology - if not a religion.

We sin every time we choose to act contrary to God's Word. Our being confused or aroused does not change that.

I don't argue with that because it is an argument from faith, which I do not share.

Nevertheless, there is nothing I have come across that supports your proposition that being gay or transgender has anything to do with ideology.

Yes, these books at this particular school are viewed by young children.

I never said a university shouldn't have "lgbtq+" books for college tudents to conduct research.

This children section has many pro-transgender, drag, non-binary books and zero books that question the ideology or even teach that there are 2 genders. This is not an exaggeration. I ran a search and someone I know even asked a librarian who but she couldn't find any.

There's a girl who had her healthy breasts removed at age 12 because she felt like a boy. Now she is sueing her doctors. There is growing opposition to this.

Hello and welcome to CF and forum 79.
Have we a source for this salacious tidbit?

Ok - I understand exactly what you are saying, but I want to be clear that it is not what I am saying.

There have always been people who are confused about their bodies and who also decide to engage in homosexual acts - completely independent of any ideology.

However - if you were to study on pagan cults and rituals - there is a lot of that kind of stuff happening. Which is interesting to note.

Anyways - when I make a claim about "gender ideology" or LGBT-anything - I am not claiming that these mental states and actions are dependent on that.

I am referring specifically to the activism we are seeing in the world today - which has concocted an entire false ideology - maybe even a religion - around these mental states and actions.

For example - the idea that surgery is necessary for these mentally ill people - that is a tenet of this false ideology - and it is evil.

Another example is the idea that we need to expose little children - as early as possible - to the concepts of homosexuality and "transgenderism" - this is evil.

There are many homosexual and "transgender" people who also reject tenets of this ideology.

Viterbo University is a Catholic School in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and my alma mater. In the children's section of their library, they have a pride display of children's books.

One book is called "It Feels Good to Be Yourself: A Book About Gender Identity." It's designed to teach children as young 4 about concepts of transgenderism, non-binary, cisgender, etc.

Another book is called Desert Queen. It encourages boys as young as 7 to cross dressing as drag queens.

I've often seen children on campus because they have a Boys & Girls club on campus.

It's depressing to see innocent children targeted with this. I've contacted the Archbishop (I cant find the Bishop's contact) and didn't hear back. I contacted the school and just got a generic response.

Please consider joining me in contacting the Bishop and library:

A local blog wrote about the display: Viterbo Promotes Gender Confusion in Young Children | CouleeConservatives
I like your choice of words “targeted” and I think it’s interesting that YouTube was sued for advertising products targeted towards children like toys and such which don’t really have any negative impact against them but books like these are allowed in libraries that potentially brings to question what gender a child wants to be which is detrimental. This kind of material shouldn’t be available to children because it brings to light to a question that most kids are completely oblivious to and are far better off if the question was never mentioned to begin with. But then again that’s the whole point anyway isn’t it, recruit them while they’re too young to know any better. They mask their purpose by claiming it’s to help children who are having issues with gender identity while at the same time causing more children to have the very same problem.

Is that how you catch LGBT? By getting LGBT cooties on you?

There are legal protections for many behavioral choices - religion for example. This isn't the slam dunk against LGBT individuals that posts imply it is.
Again, LGBT people have a right to live as they choose. That’s their right. Period.

They cannot demand everyone accommodate them.

It’s a two way street, sir.

Agreed
They cannot demand everyone accommodate them.
But they do, and will do in future, and you’re free to either disregard these demands or fight against them in kind (civilly and through the court systems), but they’re not going to go away anytime soon.
They’ve fought for the right to marry who they choose and have gotten SCOTUS to include them as a “suspect class” WRT the CRA of 1964. (They hold the legal “high-ground”)
It’s a two way street, sir.
As it should be.

Fair enough. I have nothing more to add. It’s going to remain controversial because it’s “outside the norm” so to speak.

Take care

No, although I think some people can be lied to and manipulated, though. Jazz Jennings (real name Jaron Bloshinsky) is the perfect example of this.

Which is more likely to result in more children having gender dysphoria, not saying anything about it, or telling them that they have an opinion?

I don’t think they truly have gender dysphoria, they’re just told they do or it is all in their head, which is sad.

I think it’s become a fad in some circles and some people want to be different than everyone else. Kind of like the punk rockers, new wavers, goth, and emo kids who go out of their way to be a bit weird and different from mainstream society. I think people who actually have true gender dysphoria are extremely rare.

I agree. It’s more of a shock factor than anything.

Are you talking about gender dysphoria as a clinical condition? Or just trans?
