That makes more sense! When I think of "Eros" I think of a sexual or physical eros.

yes, that is the norm. but speaking broadly, eros can be any kind of desiring love between the lover and the beloved, which God has for us. it's the love in the Song of Songs, which is seen as God's love for His people. so even if it's not mentioned, God's erotic love for us is there.
