So, who all here likes Casting Crowns?
i absolutely love them.. there one of my favorite groups.
i love there song "set me free"
we recently had a big community wide youth revival where i live & that was our theme set me free..

Yea, I do like their stuff to worship to though. Its nice for church. I think they are a little typical, there's better and there's worse.

My fave song is 'What if his people prayed?' Especially the line 'What if the family turned to Jesus, stopped asking Oprah what to do!' They are coming to 'Frenzy' this year, which is the biggest one day Christian music festival in the UK. Unfortunately I am away that day and cannot go.

My wife and I saw Casting Crowns live in Calgary. It was a great show. They actually rocked pretty good in concert. I was suprised! The drummer did a solo and he was pretty darn good, I have to say!

Mark Hall is a charismatic frontman and does great in-between song banter. He preaches it straight from the stage and isn't afraid of making altar calls. There were a lot of people who came forward that night. They mean business when they perform and they make it clear Who it's all about. Can't ask for more than that! I appreciate the fact that they are down to earth and real, with not a trace of 'rock star' ego to be found anywhere. They even joked about how overweight some of them were getting!

When they did Praise You In The Storm, there was a lot of weeping in the crowd.

As for favourite songs, I would have to also say Set Me Free (love the unique perspective from the possessed man's point of view) and American Dream. I also love the video for American Dream. It always chokes me up...*sniff*

I love Casting Crowns! Especially their song "Who Am I?" I listen to that song whenever I need a good dose of humility. And "Stained Glass Masquerade" and "Set Me Free" are great as well, especially since I can relate to them quite closely.

*sigh* I just wish that CC did more concerts around where I live (Massachusetts).
