I found this article on wikipedia, doing research on the origins of the Reina-Valera Bible, the Spanish equivalent of the KJV used by Spanish-speaking Protestants. Casiodoro de Reina was a Spanish theologian that came under the influence of Luther's teachings and eventually moved to Germany, and was accepted as a Lutheran. He wrote catechisms in various languages and also criticized Calvinism and the persecution of heretics.
