  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My Lynx took me everywhere! My wife and I packed everything we had in a uhaul trailer the same size as the car, threw a uhaul hitch on the bumper and went from Erie PA to San Antonio Texas! It ran great! Didn't break any speed records and we could walk up the hills faster than we could drive but still!

The only thing it couldn't handle was my friend who borrowed and didn't know how to drive a stick shift, though he said he did.

My friends chevette was our party ride. That's as far as I'll go on that one! Back in the day.....

Like others in here, my best friend had a Chevette in high school and it too was the party ride! LOL I wonder what it was about the Chevette that made you want to overfill it with friends and cause "havoc" - the fun kind that is.... ;)

Mine was an 80 Plymouth Horizion,

Mine too!
But it didn't last long and after that came a 1986 Honda CRX.
Now that I am a parent the thought of any child of mine driving around @ 16 in a car the size of a lunchbox terrifies me!

I only kept mine about a year, then traded it for an 87 Ford Ranger. I sold the Ranger to my neighbor about 6 years ago, and he is still driving it! It has to have over 300,000 miles on it by now!

My first was a white 1992 Chevy Corsica v6. I unfourtunately had a wreck a couple of months after buying it. The replacement was another Chevy Corsica v6 in a light blue. I drove that car all through college and most of my first job. After the Corsica I got a Toyota Matrix XRS.

While it wasn't technically my car, I learned to drive in my parents' 1982 Toyota Corolla station wagon.

One time, during soccer practice, we had to move to another field across town. I think we fit about 11 of us in that car! In retrospect, I'm surprised the wheels didn't fall off.
