I think it was a 1978 Caprice Classic that my dad gave to me. I didn't get my license 'til 1988. It was still an okay car; got me around.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In college I drove my parentsl old extra cars--a 1981 Ford Fairmont and 1985 Audi 5000. I didn't get my own car until 1997--an electric blue Dodge Neon. That was back when Neons were everywhere! I thought it was so cool. Later I grew up and traded it in for a Volkwagen Jetta. I now drive a Subaru Impreza.

Well I might have been a girl, but mine was a tank LOL (a toy one) To go with my brothers army kit and fort. Oh yea I did get a cindy car, but again only for my cindy dolls! LOL

1985 Model Ford Escort Sadan. It was Paris blue, with lots of gray primer where I had repaired rust holes and never resprayed it. I liked that car, I had it for 7 years, happy days.

1986 cougar with bright red interior....lol, but i couldnt complain, the in-laws gave it to us.

78 Firebird. My brother put a custom paintjob on it. It had stripes...Aztec gold, Wineberry, and midnight blue on the hood as well as down the sides. Healthy 350 w/400 trans and a 12-bolt. Didn't even have it on the road a week and got pulled over..lol.
Got rid of it and got an Omni instead. I love Omni's...wish I had another one!

I hear ya there!! My ex-wife's first car was a '78 Malibu Classic. I bought it from my uncle with over a 100,000 on it and rolled the odometer twice as well. It had a 305 in it which are usually good for about 100,000. It burned oil bad when we sold it, but it still ran. The only work we done to it was a new altenator and rebuilt yhe heads. I really miss that car!

1979, Brown stationwagon Toyota Corolla. Bought it off my 2nd oldest brother for $500 and when I went to college I sold it to my 3rd oldest brother for $200.
First car I "drove" was a blue Chevette, which was also our "party car". I drove it right out of my drive way and right into the Amish neighbors corn field. Totaled the car and a pony cart. the corn field suffered only minor damage.
