One thing I can tell you is don't avoid churches because of what others do in them. You are not there for them (well so to speak). While fellowship is great, you are there to learn and worship the Lord.

..I have gone to a few churches, but I have found flaws with each of them..

If you don't feel comfortable in a particular church, try another and another and so on.
I don't go to church myself for that reason, and anyway I'm a loner at heart..
