Can't read PDF files

I have Windows 2000 and can't read PDF files for some reason. Anything special to download?

You need Adobe Reader.

Yeah, adobe reader will do it. Or you could try a browser like firefox or opera which can handle pdf's without reader. I'm assuming they have windows 2000 versions, that's the os I'm least familiar with.

The download link posted above will install the stand-alone Acrobat Reader program, should also install a plugin to your browsers too. When you're all done there, do yourself a favor and get:

it'll make acrobat run much lighter (with less resources draining your Windows).

You downloaded, then installed Acrobat from the link that Orchard posted?

you might need to change the pdf extension association to point to Adobe Reader...

Go to Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types | scroll down to PDF and see if it associated with a program (this is for XP, but the instructions should be similar for 2000.
