Can't Change My Avatar

Hi everyone. I was trying to change my avatar by linking to an image on another site and it won't work. It just says "Waiting on Christian Forums to respond" or something like that in the status bar and it does this for a good 30 seconds or so before I just gave up. Please fix this soon!

I can't upload an avatar either. The same thing happens!

I can't see it being a bug, as everyone else can change their avatars. Going to mark as such, but if you are still having troubles let me know.
