I would think that the Catholic perspective *would* differ quite a bit since the canons are Protestant (Calvinist) and they seem (at least to me) a tad on the harsh side compared with Catholic teaching.

I would note that the confessions themselves are strongly anti-Catholic in more than theology (as TULIP is).
