I think she is pathetic and hungering for attention, and was angry her own words were played back to her.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...50dc7b82693_story.html?utm_term=.39408445daff

That would be the Candace Owens whom the alleged perpetrator of the New Zealand atrocity called “the person who has influenced me above all.” It’s not clear whether he was sincere in saying that, but perfectly clear was Owens’s glib dismissal of the notion that her words could have encouraged such evil: “LOL!” and “HAHA.” She said the American left tied her to the carnage because it feared her “Blexit” plan to have black people quit the Democratic Party.

That’s also the same Candace Owens who in December said “if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine. The problem is that he wanted — he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize.” She later clarified that it was not “fine” that Adolf Hitler was “a homicidal, psychotic maniac.”

Owens, a 29-year-old African American provocateur, first ran an anti-Trump website that made fun of Donald Trump’s genitals, then became a conservative favorite on the Infowars conspiracy website. In recent months, she erroneously claimed that bombs sent to prominent Democrats by a Trump supporter had actually come from leftists; told France to “defend your culture” against Muslims; said “Europe will fall” to Islam and sharia law by 2050; and mused whether “something biochemically happens” to women who do not marry or have children.

President Trump praised Owens in a tweet last year, and the white nationalist Richard Spencer called her “the last stand of implicit white identity, a creation of conservative white people who want to socially signal just how not racist they are.”

It is amazing that she dismisses the persecution of the Jews that started in 1932 in his efforts to make Germany work great.

BTW, Hitler opened the first "work camp" - Dachau - in 1933, long before he invaded another country. It was not 'globalism' that was behind his evil.

Her comments are ignorant. That is why she got upset when they were played for her.

Independent thinking woman of color = stroking the ego of conservatives

Candace "Sunken Place" Owens is not independent thinking, she simply parrots the same tired thinking of yesteryear. Her views, as usual, are wrong and outright fabrication of the facts.

An independent thinking woman of color.

I have been told by many Trump supporters that the race of a person doesn't matter to conservatives and that they abhor identity politics. If that's true, then why did you point out that she's a woman of color? That's not color blind. Why didn't you just state the fact that she's an independent woman?

She's quite historian.....

“I happen to fall into the window of people that knows my history. I’m a Black American and I know that the NRA was started as a civil rights organization training Black Americans to arm themselves and defend themselves against the KKK, ” Owens claimed on the show.

When you get your history from random internet message board sources I guess.
NRA founded to fight KKK, black leader says

This source references what the NRA says about it's founding... They might know.

To help my left leaning friends understand the importance of her remarks - I thought they probably would not take the time to watch the video

You were saying?

I was saying this:
John Whitehouse on Twitter

I watched the whole clip of what she said the first time.

She's full of it.

The "problem" (singular when Cadence speaks) with Hitler is a bit more than him being a globalist, or in this case wanting to literally dominate the globe militarily.

It paints White Nationalists is a better light if a black person defends them.

The KKK? Like White Nationalists? The NRA only goes back to the Civil Rights Era? I clearly had no concept of history.

The color of her skin makes her remarks more important?

You know, there were Jews who supported Hitler. I'm sure at the time people justified the horrible policies of Hitler by pointing to the few Jews who spoke on his behalf.

Well, until those folks eventually found themselves in the gas chambers too. They didn't do much speaking after that.

Yeah, if she thinks it only goes back to the Civil Rights era, she is either ignorant of history or purposely revising - or letting her time on Inforwars affect her thinking.

National Rifle Association - Wikipedia

The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) is a U.S. nonprofit organization that advocates for gun rights.[4][5][6] Founded in 1871, the group has informed its members about firearm-related legislation since 1934, and it has directly lobbied for and against firearms legislation since 1975.[7]....

A few months after the Civil War started in 1861, a national rifle association was proposed by Americans in England. In a letter that was sent to President Lincoln and appeared in the New York Times, R.G. Moulton and R.B. Perry recommended forming an organization similar to the British National Rifle Association, which had formed a year and a half earlier. They suggested making a shooting range, perhaps on the base on Staten Island, and were offering Whitworth rifles for prizes for the first shooting competition with those rifles. They suggested a provisional committee to start the Association which would include: President Lincoln, Secretary of War, officers, and other prominent New Yorkers.[15][16][17]

The National Rifle Association was first chartered in the State of New York on November 16, 1871[1][7] by Army and Navy Journaleditor William Conant Church and Captain George Wood Wingate. On November 25, 1871, the group voted to elect its first corporate officers. Union Army Civil War General Ambrose Burnside, who had worked as a Rhode Island gunsmith, was elected president.[18] When Burnside resigned on August 1, 1872,[19] Church succeeded him as president.[20]

Union Army records for the Civil War indicate that its troops fired about 1,000 rifle shots for each Confederate hit, causing General Burnside to lament his recruits: "Out of ten soldiers who are perfect in drill and the manual of arms, only one knows the purpose of the sights on his gun or can hit the broad side of a barn."[21][22][23] The generals attributed this to the use of volley tactics, devised for earlier, less accurate smoothbore muskets.[24][25]

Ambrose Burnside, Union Army general, Governor of Rhode Island, and first president of the NRA
Recognizing a need for better training, Wingate sent emissaries to Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany to observe militia and armies' marksmanship training programs.[26]

I think most of her stuff is an act. It's gained her a lot of money.

Watching the video yet again will not change the fact that she was ignorant about Hitler. She was just trying to throw the word "globalist" out there like a good student of Infowars would.
Hitler was a despot dictator who used hatred for Jews to justify murder, theft and imho, pure evil. It wasn't about working with global companies and organizations - it was about ruling the world.

I wonder if these people also hate that GLOBALIST alliance that came together to stop Germany.
