Thank you Red for taking the time to listen and take suggestions. I think that's the problem most of the time. It feels as though the mods pay very little attention to the real problems on this site. And as for Woob, I am friends with him and if assured that the "truce" is mutual he will listen. Contrary to popular belief he is very reasonable, IMO.

Part of the problem is that mods are held to a confidentiality agreement, so they are not allowed to talk about specific actions taken, except to the recipient of such action. When the reports were completely open, it was different, but now people don't know what's going on behind the scenes, and we staff members can't tell them. So I understand that you are all frustrated, but please don't assume that the mods aren't paying attention.

What did Christ put up with when the Roman soldiers were taunting and torturing......?
When Jesus comes judgement will be served on them and others who did not ask for forgivenes that is our belief. In some cases judgement comes a lot earlier or else we would never have a court system in life or a report system in here. So your statement is useful if one wants the forum to be a doormat for abusers and bullies.

No, they will be judged by the one who is all knowing, we are called to forgive and love one another...

He could not report them to their superiors. Could He? You are confusing the issues. If they had violated their mandate nothing Jesus said would have prevented them from being punished by Roman authorities.

Senti, help me out, I need everyone to just calm down, and follow Christs example when he said to go the extra mile......

Matthew 5:41
If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

That is not a rule for encouraging rude or disruptive behaviour in your fellow men....

(Common sense sure ain't common)

Reddogs, please examine Romans 13:

Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
Rom 13:4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
Rom 13:5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

Paul saw that the governmental authorities were put there to enforce order and to deal with poor conduct. He did not see this as in conflict with extending forgiveness.

This is a forum that has its attendant rules, etc. We can forgive. But we can also expect that normal rules are enforced.

As they have been on this brother, as the governing body has ruled and applied the enforcement....:sigh:

I am not sure why you seem to think that is wrong in any way.

If he continues it will happen again. If he doesn't it won't. Either way it is not related to forgiveness.

Lets see what the bible says on the matter. Isnt that what we go by?!

Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter cam eto Jeus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, " I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven."

Heb 7:27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

Heb 9:26 Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Heb 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
"Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
6with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.

7Then I said, 'Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—
I have come to do your will, O God.' " 8First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). 9Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Sin was dealt with in Christ alone. In Christ THERE IS NO SIN. All in Christ have been COMPLETELY FREED of sin and have been credited with HIS righteousness. They CANNOT be condemned, and anyone who says they can is NOT IN CHRIST!

You still have to accept Christ, and that means more than just giving lip service....
