As a rather regular patristic reader and student, I recommend to be suspicious of writings without accurate references, like this one. It's not the first case I see of fraudulent quotes by the ancient against the Immaculate Conception. That happens a lot - which is what i figured in my last posts.
Some sites - to look authentic and create doubt - change things or just completely fabricate them.
If you call yourself "Catholic" it is imperative that ALL dogmas must be believed.
Yes, with the sacramental character imprinted upon one's soul at baptism, one is always a member of the Church. However, being a member does not say one is in communion with the Church. You may want to review this important teaching from the CCC.I think the Vatican teaching is that you are irrevocably made a member of the Church by your baptism.

Questioning and struggling are one thing, but you must accept what the Church teaches about the dogma and doctrines.Nothing in the bit you quoted below this sentence supports your statement that someone can not be Catholic and question dogma and doctrine.
Yes, one can always strive to better "understand" those truths which the Church teaches, but it is walking a dangerous path to remain in doubt or deliberately prefer one's private opinion when it contradicts the official dogmatic teaching of the Magisterium.Nothing in the bit you quoted below this sentence supports your statement that someone can not be Catholic and question dogma and doctrine.

Your profile does not indicate that you are Catholic, so you may not agree with our teachings, and it is best you withhold your opinion, since this is a Catholic forum.
Clearly, you are mistaken ... so it is not going to benefit us a bit to continue debate with you. Best you contact your priest with regard to this ... that is, if you truly want to know the Church's teaching about fully accepting ALL of her doctrines, without exception. You cannot be ala-carte in your selection of what to believe or not believe.I still don't see where failure to do so strips you of your Catholic identity. I think the teachings has been very clear that baptism gives you that and it can not be undone.
