Ok...
You may know I have been working on my own translation for a number of years. He is my expanded translation of Romans 8:26-27.
As you may know, there are no capitals in the Greek text, and all renderings are purely according to the subjective speculation of the translators. I have removed all capitalizations from the text because I see nothing in the context that requires capitals:
Romans 8:
26 In the same way, the
(our) spirit is also aiding our
(fleshy)infirmities: because we know not
(in our fleshy mind)what we should pray for as required: but the same
(our) spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And He
(God) that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the
(our) spirit, because he
(our spirit) makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
As you see, I have our born again spirit praying with groans and God the all knowing God determining what those groans mean. I do not have the Holy Spirit groaning within us. It is our spirit.
So this is the difference between the mind of the spirit and the mind of the soul. The soul does not know what is required in prayer, but our spirit is aware of the will of God and so prays accordingly. God who hears the groanings can look into the heart and knows exactly what they mean.

Dids, I always read your posts. Of course, that does not necessarily mean I understand them.
As far as the mind of the soul and the mind of the spirit, I am not sure I agree with this. It will need more scriptural support for me. But it is an interesting concept. How does it apply to your view on faith? Is faith the same thing, for you, as the mind of the spirit?
