I moved in a project house I was not fully prepared for, I got it ready enough for it to pass inspection. To later find out, that there were mice getting inside through small holes and cervices, a leak which caused black mold growth, and broken fiberglass.
I am planning on giving up on this project and moving out to a home that doesn't require any work.
As for my stuff in the home, they are valued at around $6,000+ and consists of dozens of items. These are stuff I don't even want anymore.
Even if I decide to given them away or sell them, can it be done safely if the items were potentially exposed to mice or fiberglass?
I want to do the right thing here, all this stuff can be replaced within months, I am making starting pay about $39,000 a year after taxes and will be making $100,000 soon, this is my first year working at age 23-24.
Although I will be upset at the financial loss of throwing these items away, I have the power to do so, and I want to do the right thing.
I do not know if it is possible to clean these items or even do so safely if they have been exposed to fiberglass and mice. I already got fiberglass in one of my eyes, and some on my skin, it took months for the cutting pain to go away.
