Sorry for asking a dumb questions, I don't think we can find an answer as man is limited in reason, knowledge, etc.
No question is ever dumb.
and
You're right, man has very limited reason and knowledge skils on earth.

Or would that God that God created not be a God but a creature? If there is no limit to God's power then He should be able to create a God like Himself...right?

This kinda stuff is what keeps me up at night...:D

Thanx a heap! Now I won't be able to sleep tonight either.:)

Are you saying that God can sin?

I think this is the type of question that has no immediate answer. In our limited view of things he is surpreme and all wise.

I think the OP and your question should be asked very carefully and for those who answer should answer very carefully.

1CO 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;

the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

1CO 1:20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

Not sure how to respond to your first question but this second question I would say yes. God can't do things that are logically impossible, such as creating a square triangle.

I also would say that terms like omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent are human attempts to capture the unfathomable characteristics of God and would be inappropriately used if they were to box God into the limitations of human languages.

So God can't sin, He can't create others like Himself, what else can't God do? (This is flawed human logic, it's not trying to argue for the above, just trying to follow human logic.)
Do you in your own opinion think there are things that God can't do?

Well doc sorta went off in a different direction than I was moving. I'm not trying to outsmart God. I just know that God cannot go against his own nature. Why do I think this? Well, there are many reasons but here is one example.

Titus 1:2 -
in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,

Love-In-Christ,

In our ministry, we teach 3 things that God cannot do:

He cannot sin
He cannot lie,
and He cannot let anyone into heaven with out believing in Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

So that proves that in the sense of the word, there are things that God cannot do.

If there are things God cannot do according to his nature, are there things man cannot do according to his nature? ex. sinnful man seeing the spiritual truth of the Gospel on his own.

WARNING: This could end up being another calvinist talk, lets try our best to stay away from that topic for now.

I'm not sure at all about the third item on your list. Doesn't it exclude infants and children too young to understand the concept of believing in Jesus Christ as their personal savior?

I've seen GEL argue this one before, and believe me, you don't want to get into a fight with her about that!

Like I wrote before, this is a dumb question that really can't be answered...it's a way of being humbled in front of God. I know nothing and my posts here prove it!

And all the people say....

Can God create a rock so big, even He can't move it? But the real question is, why would God want to make a rock He couldn't move, or create another god? Remember He is a jealous God, so I don't think making another god people could fall into worship to would be something He would do, He knows we worship too many idol gods as it is :)) ), but like it says in Isaiah, God's thoughts are not our own. Also, I really don't want God to be Someone my little brain can fully understand, because if God thought like I did, well this world would be in big trouble:amen: .

God is limitless, but at the same time can fully be able to limit Himself to do whatever He pleases. That's why He is God.
