Can daydreaming be demonic?

I mean, since I don't talk out loud as I daydream, and apparently demons can't read our minds, that doesn't give them much of a chance to directly communicate with me, but since they know through my actions that I am daydreaming, they obviously can still put thoughts in my head. How do i deal with this? Is it somethingto be concerned about?

And is it typical for daydreams to get so strong that the characters seem almost real?

I'd have to say that it depends on what you're daydreaming about the determines whether it's demonic or not. Obviously, if you're daydreaming about killing somebody or daydreaming (really lusting, but in the form of a daydream) after a naked woman then it's demonic. The only way to deal with daydreams like this is to pray to the Lord that he will stop those thoughts or find something to do so that you arent in a daydreaming kind of mood (ex. playing basketball or football or something of the like). Since demons can't get inside of your head, that means they can't control your thoughts, so just get your mind on something else. It always works for me!

You seem to contradict yourself with these quotes. Thinking about a sinful act would be a sin you bring upon yourself, which would not be demonic but still sinful. But dreams are usually the visualization of what the subconscious has stored away. So if your daydreaming about murder, lust, or some other sinful act i would reccomend you pray and go see someone to help find out the inner cause of the subconscious thoughts...because in most cases the thoughts of the subconscious builds into thoughts of the normally reachable mind, which escalates into the fufillment of the act itself.

I think that if you empty your mind you're looking for trouble. This is why meditation (that has it's goal an "empty mind or clear mind") is a bad deal. You're better off reading or listening to some cool tunes. It was once told me by a cool pastor that our minds are like airports. All sorts of planes come by trying to land. You are the traffic controller and you Choose which planes get to land, get fueled up, etc. When the "bad" airplanes zoom by, send them on their way and get a Good plane to land instead. Get the picture? Hope that helps. :>)

read the rest of my post, i was trying to help her out too. May i ask, how do you know that demons have the authority to put thoughts into our minds? Actual casses of demonic possession are very rare, that is why there are very few licensed exorcists found in the catholic church, most casses of "demonic possession" are people who are suffering from some mental illness. So my thoughts if the person dreams about things that are sinful then she may have some subconscious issues she needs to deal with. And to betalkin2god, i believe that meditation has also been used to clear away the clouds of the mind so you may "hear" what God is telling you, but i do agree that an empty mind is much more succeptable to negative thoughts...unless filled with Christ like thoughts, that is.

If demons dont have the authority to put evil thoughts into our head, then let me ask, where do they come from? And demonic possesion cases are not very rare. I'm baptist, not catholic. You ask any missionary from any part of the world about demonic possesion. They have freed so many people from demons. But thats not what this post is about. Im sorry if this is turning into a debate, just IM me next time you have a question or debate about this, or start your own thread onikirimaru777
