Can anyone teach me some basic Spanish?

Do you mind if I correct you a little bit, to help you learn?

When you're using a verb in the first person (like, when you're talking about yourself), the verb always ends in the letter 'o'. So, when you said "yo estudia..." it should be "yo estudio".
The word for Spanish is español...you can do this letter ñ by pressing 164 while holding down the Alt key.
There are two verbs for "to be"...estar and ser. Estar is for temporary conditions, and ser is for permanant conditions. I think that in the sentence you used, you would use "ser". So, "no quiero ser ignorante" (somebody who is more fluent than me can correct me if I'm wrong )
The word "billion" is "billones".
When you use a verb for multiple people, the verb ends in "-en" or "-an" (depending on what type of verb it is). So, "...gente hablan español"
When you use two verbs back-to-back, you conjugate only the first and leave the other one in its unconjugated form. ie. "Quiero hablar en español..."
The verb "to go" is "ir".
Latin America is Latinoamerica.
