Old Married Woman
I'll list off the ones we've done in the last few years...
Survivor - We had four 'tribes'- Judah, Kadesh, Jericho and Malachi. The team spirit at this camp was the best I've seen in my life. Obviously, our talks tied into the tribe names.
Lifesaver - Yep, based on the candy. This was a Summer one and we talked about how Jesus is a life saver. Pretty self explanatory...
Mission Impossible - Our mission, should we choose to accept it.... This camp was full on, we were getting kids up at midnight to complete missions involving lasers, alarms, laser guns and cannons, bombs and computers. Apart from the tiredness it went down really well with the kids. The talks were all very cool, about the mission that God is sending us on. I liked this one cuz my sister got saved at the end ;-)
Summer Revolution - Another Summer camp, where we drummed in the message "Do ya wanna be a part of the revolution?" We talked about Jesus as a revolutionary, and also about how the kids can be revolutionaries in their schools, homes, etc... Our youth band adapted a Paul Colman Trio song called 'Solution' and changed it to fit the revolution theme. Absolutely wikkid.
Hyperthermia - This was our most recent Winter camp, note that it's hypERthermia (extreme heat), not hypOthermia (extreme coldness)!! Our message was to 'seek the heat' of God and we found related Bible stories to base the talks on, like anything involving fire or heat or whatever.
Hope these bring forth some ideas!!!
