So if you do not do works are you saved?
It would certainly appear that way to me.
Maybe Chester can equate the dictates of the mans conscious with GODS WILL somehow?
I would somehow suspect that Gods Will is to DO GOOD WORKS? Or at least that Gods Will is NOT against good works?
So if you do not do works are you saved?
If you willfully and persistently reject the commandments of Jesus you will not be saved.
So then you are saying what? That we are not saved by grace but by works? If you willfully and persistently reject the commandments of Jesus you will not be saved.
He's trying very hard not to trip and fall on the theological landmine of his own making ain't ya Chester?
My theology is rock solid, as you know.
What do you need to know?
This merely states that it is not our role to judge others
Very true. The RCC makes NO eternal judgment claims unto ANY outside of their membership. There are however exceptions made for heretics.
and that we should not limit God's mercy for the ignorant.
In Roman Catholicism ignorance IS a valid excuse. Yes. True. And because this is true, actually preaching to someone COULD potentially be the worst thing to ever happen to them.
This is a statement of possibility, not assurance, and it is irrelevant to you and I.
Already noted that didn't I?
And was I LYING? or were YOU speaking out of ignorance and therefore excused for your "MIS-statements." (not a lie if done in ignorance right Chester?)

YOU LIED when you claimed that I am advocating salvation by works.
Can I be more clear?
Can you be more vague?
Yes, we are aware of thatMy theology is rock solid, as you know.

On This Rock
YOU LIED when you claimed that I am advocating salvation by works.
But you don't see the RCC teaching that in the quote provided? If NOT why NOT?
The RCC teaches that SALVATION is possible both apart from the Gospel and the church VIA following the dictates of the conscious if same following is in accord with Gods Will.
Yet you do not see FOLLOWING THE DICTATES OF THE CONSCIOUS as salvation via WORKS???
By all means say on how that is NOT salvation via works?
I could even repeat this observation a couple more times for you until you get it or clarify WHY IT'S NOT WORKS salvation.
Can I be more clear?
Can you be more vague?
Can you be just a tad bit more evasive?
So is one saved by grace or by works?
But you don't see the RCC teaching that in the quote provided? If NOT why NOT?

Salvation by works denies the necessity of grace.
The Church teaches that we are saved by grace.
This grace enables us to follow Jesus, but it can be resisted.

Did the quote I have provided from 'the Credo' SEVERAL TIMES now NOT state that SALVATION is POSSIBLE by following the DICTATES OF THE individual CONSCIOUS apart from both the church and the Gospel???

It says it is possible.
This is not for us to judge.
So?
Scripture tell us that by grace are we saved. It is the grace of God that any man is saved.. It is not because we do works that we are saved. We are saved by grace through faith.
However, our faith must be a living faith. Faith without works is dead.
If we stop following Jesus, we can lose our faith.
Perseverence is a requirement for salvation according to the bible.
Scripture tell us that by grace are we saved. It is the grace of God that any man is saved.. It is not because we do works that we are saved. We are saved unto Good works that HE has already prepared for us. We are not saved by doing good works.
Where do you read that Gods grace enables salvation? We are saved by Grace..We are saved by grace. God's grace enables our salvation.
We must respond to this grace, however.
Do you disagree?

Can dead men do anything?
