Series 1 boxed set DVD easter egg found.

If you have a region 2 dvd boxed set of series 1 there is an easter egg on the fourth disk.

put disk four on, on the main menu highlight the "special features" BUT DO NOT PRESS ENTER press down on your remote

a small orange hexagon will appear under "set up" press enter

What you will get is the trailer originally aired by the BBC prior to showing series 1 (Christopher Eccleston in the TARDIS control room asking "Do you want to come with me?" fire ball in a tunnel.) However this version does not show any episode footage and the visiuals have been altered slightly. Dont know if this works on any other regions.

I think it will be shown in June Or July. But don't quote me on that as there have been delays in filming this series.

Its star John Barrowman is currently in Panto in London's west end so I would imagine they have not got as far as filming yet

Current rumours re series 2 (season 30) are that the first episode will be aired on March 18th (st Patricks day) in the UK nothing solid yet though.

Re Torchwood the current rumour is that production has been pushed back to summer meaning that it will probably be aired in the Autumn. Again nothing solid though.

Just a thought, it was Tom Baker's Birthday yesterday (70) he shares it with Buzz Aldrin.

Did you know Sophie Aldred (Ace), Sylvester Mccoy (7th Dr) and Anthony Ainley (2nd Master) all share the same birthday...August 20th.

Anyone know anything about his tombstone? Apparently he has it made already, but I'm not sure what it reads. Not that I want the guy dead or anything, but it just came to mind. Morbid me.

That I can believe. Before he was known as the 4th Doctor, Baker had quite a career in horror and macabre movies. And he's quite good in that role too. That whole scene might just be very natural for him.

He played Puddleglum in the Chronicles of Narnia a few years back. And I remember when he played Sherlock Holmes. And it was very Dr. Who-ish. (Of course, Dr. Who was initially patterned after Sherlock Holmes, so it wasn't too big of a stretch.)

I loved him as Puddleglum! I actually bought the VHS of Silver Chair just for him. I'd love to see Sherlock Homes one day- didn't he cut his hair real short for that one?

I dont recall him playing sherlock holmes. Dr Who was originally concieved as a childrens programme to teach them about history but the monsters proved to be far more popular and the rest is history!
