Hi there! It's ten years ago to the month that I first discovered Doctor Who, and I've never looked back... it's ever such a wonderful bit of silliness!

My favourite story is The Space Pirates, for no particular reason I can pin down... I've just loved it to bets ever since I discovered it on my 17th birthday.

My favourite baddies are the Ice Warriors; I've got a collection of them with about twenty different figures sitting on my TV. Everything about them is just sheer coolness, their voice, their walk, their armour... hooray for Martians!

I'm also a great fan of Ace, good to see I'm not alone here! As a rebellious and headstrong teenagner myself (though a bit less of a pyrotechnically minded one) I find her very entertaining. UP THE KILLJOYS! :)

I find it very hard to pin down a favourite Doctor though; I enjoy them all in their own way. I must be contreversial though and say that I find Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker the least enjoyable of the lot! They're still *good*, mind, but I get much more of a thrill from watching something from the sixties or the eighties than a Hinchcliffe thiller or a UNIT romp. I reckon both ends of the series were fabulous - I really enjoy the much-loathed final half-a-decade!

Here in Aussieland the ABC is repeating pretty much the entire series on free-to-air... what a fabulous idea! Right now they're transmitting The Seeds Of Doom, my first Tom Baker which I first got on video exactly 10 years ago now... not a bad Christmas present! And this time last year it was The Chase, my first black and white story and an all-time favourite... she serves me well, does Aunty! :)

I am also a huge fan of Dr.Who, so much so that I named one of my daughters after one of his Companions Tegan.
I loved Tom Baker as The Dr.
The Actor that almost ruined it for me was Colin Baker the one that followed him. He would have made a better villian than a DR.
I liked both the 5 Dr.'s episode as well as the 3 Dr.'s episode.
Just getting to see some of the first Dr.'s that most of their episodes were lost and so can never be seen was wonderful.
I have not been able to see the program for years and really miss it here in Milwaukee since I don't have cable or Satellite at this time.
Though most in here did not like the Fox movie about Dr.Who I still found it more satisfying that not being able to see the program at all.
I also remember seeing the Movies that were made years before by BBC that starred another actor as the Dr. instead of the person that was playing him at the time. I can't remember his name at this time but I think it was David Niven or the actor that acted in the Pink Panther movies.
I also liked the Dr.'s Sonic Screw driver.
I would like to have the Tardis sitting in my home to be able to travel to what ever time I wanted.
At one time here in Wisconsin someone had their personalized Lisence plate TARDIS.
I may try and find the DVD's of the series now that I know that they are out. I have been suffering withdrawal symptoms....LOL :)
It will be interesting to see how they do the new Series if it ever makes it to the United States.

These starred Peter Cushing, and you can get both of them on the same DVD, called Dr Who And The Daleks. I really quite like them, they're utterly bizarre. :)

I'm actually finding myself really enjoying Tom Baker, whom I've always found harder to warm to than the other actors... his repeats are on the ABC at the moment and they're really sucking me in!

I'm slightly ahead of the ABC at the moment... up to the introduction of the fabulous Leela! Described as 'Xena's grandma' and 'that woman in the lot of shammy leather - well, not really a lot, it was a tiny dress!', is there truly anything cooler than this warrior woman? I think not!

I love the Doctor's reaction when her answer to everything is a quick jab with a Janice Thorn - the interplay between the violent savage and the peaceful intellectual is great!

Aw Flipper when it get to the states you will love it! I have just watched Episode 2 where they are in the future and the aliens...well excellent and such and original story too. Quite sad too in some ways.
Any one have a view on the new doctor?

Shame he is quitting but hey the 8th Dr lasted on film/episode. Still he will live on in fiction and books.
