I haven't heard anything, but I would think you guys across the pond would hear before we would.

Ok my spies tell me that the Daleks will not be featuring in the new series due to a dispute with the estate of Terry Nation. The alleged creator of the daleks of a proposal to change their appearance. Billie Piper (yes the singer) will be the new assistant but it remains unclear whether the 8th Dr will feature in a regeneration sequence or not.

Beyond that not much is known, we dont even know a release date.

I loved Dr. Who as a child. I'd watch it still if it came on at all. My favorite is Tom Baker.

I was extremely disappointed in the Dr. Who movie that was made several years ago

I'd looked on ebay awhile ago for some movies but they were kinda expensive.

Hi Guys.
Im a big Dr Who fan too.

My picks would be
Favorite Dr is Sylvester McCoy. I liked that there always seemed to be more going on than he would let other know.
Fav companion was Ace, because she would rather blow something up than sit back and scream.
Favorite story so far is Curse of Fenric. I haven't seen a lot of the McCoy episodes but I have seen a few that were mentioned in these episodes.
Favorite villin would probably be the Master, but I haven't seen many of the Roger Delgato episodes yet.

ABC in australia just started playing all the available stories last year. I'm taping them all off TV. Unfortunately because of the Dalek issues, ABC hasn't been able to play stories with the Daleks in them. And that includes stories like The War Games because there was a quick shot of a Dalek in the last episode of the story, so they didn't play any of the episodes of that story. I have been able to get hold of most of the episodes on VHS, but now I'm only missing Planet Of The Daleks. I'm sure I will get it eventually.

Welcome Grenge always noce to hear from a fello fan. I think you are right, the seventh Doctor was always letting stuff slip that hinted that he might be something more than just a time lord. Revelation of the Daleks being one instance. "The hand of Omega, and didn't we have trouble with the prototype!"

Any way latest news is that principle filming on the new DR who is pretty much done, the new Doctor has a leather jacket and jeans look.
The villians include not only the Daleks but the Autons as well!

Breaking news re new DR Who Series!!!!!

Apparently recently Cardiff police recieved several calls from the public stating that they had heard gun fire and explosions coming from the millenium stadium there. It turned out that the BBC were filming a battle scene from the new DR who Series involving Daleks in the stadium that involved a lot of pyrotechnics!!!

Filming continues (my mistake) in and around Cardiff with Christopher Ecleston and Bille Piper for the new series of Dr Who no date yet for release!!!

We get little bits in the local paper about how the filming's going a lot of the time- the latest was how Billie Piper was seen holding hands with Dr Who..
This is more interesting- there are to be Daleks but more advanced than before...

Just as an aside I read recently that the production crew of the new DR Who series are getting death threats from Die hard fans who are not happy at the changes being released....so much for new ideas and moving on!

New DR WHO series update. Simon Callow will be appearing in it as Charles Dickens, apparently the Doctor goes back to 1869 and meets him whilst he is doing a book tour.
