I'm shocked there isn't a club for this!!

I searched for Star Wars, and there were only fifteen threads with Star Wars in the title... most were old, and the most recently posted-to one was in the Guys forum. No fair!

I, Alenci, member of Christian Forums, do hereby create this club, "The Star Wars Club" on this day, the 4th of August, 2003.

:D

Question to start off the conversation: What's your favorite Star Wars quote? I know, it's hard to pick just one, isn't it?

Ask the club founder. ;)

In my opinion, the books for the movies are really not that different from the movies themselves, with possibly the exception of Star Wars: A New Hope that had a few extra things that the movie did not originally.

Now if you're talking about the books that others wrote after the original trilogy...that's a whole other story. ;)

i like all the Star Wars movies!! uh, well, there're only 5 so far.... but anyway!

and i like the books too, some of the SW authors did a pretty awesome job in it, whether the characters are related to Luke (or are Luke and Leia.. the original crew) or not. The most recent SW books are very good in my opinion, but i didn't get to read them all....

Oh good!!

I think my favorite extended universe authors are Timothy Zahn and Kevin J. Anderson. :)

In my opinion (note...my personal opinion) the worst extended universe book I've read was "The Courtship of Princess Leia." It just was....bad.

But then again, I haven't kept up AT ALL with the extended universe books. I used to try to...but now I just buy what seems interesting or by one of my 2 favorite extended universe writers. :)

I'll join. Stars Wars is definately cool. Although, I like Lord of the Rings(Aragorn is awesome. Legolas is a stupid ------ ------) a lot more than Stars Wars. I can read Stars Wars books and it would be like any other sci-fi, but when I read LOTR, it's like I'm reading out of a history book it's so well-detailed. Harry Potter can't do that...

Star Wars? Count me in, baby! Stood in line for the midnight showing of EPII, and will do it again for the third one.
I don't know why the prequels get bashed so much, I think they're fantastic, and well worth seeing. Well EPII had its faults, like that guy they got to play Anakin.Big mistake. Terrible actor.
Anyway, Obi-Wan has always been my favorite character. Can't wait to see him and Anakin duel together in the last one.
