I uninstalled it SEVERAL years ago on this computer ( so I know that it is not the computer will not take the game, but when I went to reinstall it and it says that it is installed in the wrong folder. Any ideas I really want to play call of duty again.

Is that the exact error you're getting, or are there more details (e.g. error code)? Are you setting the folder specifically or letting the game decide?

When you reinstall it, it might be worth telling it to do a Custom install and change the folder location (e.g. C:\Games\Call of Duty rather than C:\Program Files\etc.)

I have been letting the game decide. It says that it cannot load default.dfg or something like that and then tells me to make sure I m running it with the correct folder.
