  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have two computers sharing internet with cable modem internet access and using a wired router to network both computers so that the additional computer can get online. My situation is that the connection for internet access only last 1 day then it disconnect, so everyday I have to reset the router to get the internet back up. Why is this happening? I know I use to have DSL internet access and I shared among other computers and it never disconnected. Is it possible that cable modem has a disadvantage with two computers using the same bandwidth? Would wireless network solve the problem?

What is your router's manufacturer and model? I do know that a some have connectivity issues. It really depends on the model.
Also, when your internet access stops working, are you still able to access your internal network (ie pinging your router) ?
