Equal was nudged awake at a conference room on the planet Noplanet. He blinked thrice in the light of the articial bulbs and the Noplanet's twin Sun's. He glanced at the breifcase with the puddle of drool on the right of it. Equal dazedly looked up to the other Naval officers gathered around the table, each person's head turned his way.
"My apologies, but with the rare night on this planet a person tends to get quite tired. Here are the statistics on the saftey of ships partaking in interstellar space travel. As you can see, there have been few losses during the past few years. However, over the last three months casualties have been at an all time high. We have not released the source of the losses to the public in fear of widespread panic, but the survivors of the battles, yes, battles, have called the aggressors "Space Monkeys". We have entered a war, people. And-" Before equal could finish the sentence the cell phone on his belt began beeping. He answered the phone to hear a panic stricken man on the other end. "Colonel! The Space Monkeys are here! In orbit of the planet Noplanet, sir! They're cutting us down, sir! Send reinforcements, A.S.A.P.! We-" There was an explosion and the line went .
"Sirs, Ma'ams, there is an emergency. The Space Monkeys have been sighted in orbit above Noplanet. If we don't act fast, the enemy shall overrun the defenses. I must attend to my ship, good day." Equal walked out of the conference rooms, closed the door and sprinted into the hanger.
"All hands to battle stations! Noplanet is in danger! Report to battle stations for immediate counter-assualt. Good luck and may the Schwartz be with you all," and with that equal boarded of the S.S. Parody band, took his seat in the bridge, a took off to meet the Space Monkey menace in the skies above.
