I can't post Amy Brown's pics here cuz of copyright, but I'll post the links. She allows tattoos of her work, and even has a gallery on her site of pics people have sent her, but here are the two pics my tattoos will be based off of.

i have the name of my brother and my sister on my back, just a bit below my shoulders (one on each side) in 'handwriting' style (might sound odd, but there's special meaning to it)

- Arn't all the best tattoos the ones with real meaning -it always gets me when people get Tatts when they are drunk and just get an image they have no real connection to!

3girls2dogs - they are Great - The sisters one especially as my Sister and I are identical twins so that would look GOrgeous - Her Artwork is amazing!

But dontcha think all tattoos have some kinda meaning, I mean even if the chap was drunk when he/she got it..that's a story behind it
I get whatcha mean though...there are some that are definately more meaningful than others.

Btw anyone here watch Miami Ink..? I used to catch it nearly everyday, or at least record it n watch thru it when I'm free but haven't had the time lately.

I love that show. And now Kat has her own LA Ink show. I keep wondering if I should bother trying to make an appointment with her shop. LA is only about 4 hours from me. I would love to get a tattoo from Kat Von D

That would be....freaking awesome!!!

Haha..from what I've seen on the internet n off Miami Ink her potraits are out of this world, esp the B&W ones. Shes really taking Tattooing to another level in that respect.

Technically I have about 7. 4 on one arm, 2 on the other and one on my chest. This weekend I am having an entire half sleeve done that is going to include my shoulder up to the collar bone. Then I'll get the other arm done to tie everything in.
I plan to include my left forearm and maybe the right side of my ribs and stomach later.

I'd like to get some more work done on my back, going to wait till I loose some more weight though, dont want to go through all of that only to have it go wonky when I loose weight

Not sure. But she's charging me by the hour. It will probably take about three four hour sessions. The biggest one I have took about three and a half hours. I may get a descending dove with a Hebrew Shin inside of it on the side of my neck while I'm at it.
I'm a glutton for punishment.

I've got, on my right shoulder blade, a shamrock and underneath it says "dearthair" which means "brother" in Irish Gaelic. My bro's got the same one in the same place.

I'm hopefully going to get another one at Christmastime. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Haha I feel ya, I don't wanna get any work on my biceps/chest/abdomen as of yet cause it aint fully toned, after my national service then I'm goin on a spree!

Hey, nah I don't have a crest. Just the shamrock and the word. My next one's going to be a maple leaf with my birthdate in red underneath it. Superimposed onto the maple leaf is gonna be a black cross with the date I became a Christian above it in black.

My tattoo is definately a witnessing tool.

I have a tattoo of Mickey Mouse on my left bicep. He is holding a Bible in one hand and a pistol in the other. He is dressed in cowboy clothes to represent my relating with that culture. He has a star on his chest to represent my time as a reserve deputy sheriff. The Bible represents being a Christian as well as my time as a youth director. The pistol represents my time in the Army. It is a ying yang thing. Good verses evil. I am not saying the Army is bad. Just that it represents the struggle I go through.

I designed it myself but the tattoo artist brought my thoughts to reality. I can't draw much more than a stick figure. I got the idea after hearing the song, "Give me one more last chance" by the country artist Vince Gill. In the song his wife meets him at the door with a Bible in one hand and a rolling pin in the other. She says if you dont listen to my preaching boy I am gonna beat you half to death.

Oh cool Just discovered this thread.

I have 4, which I got before becoming a Christian. After my conversion, I removed all my piercings except for tongue and nose, and I know I wouldn't be able to get another tat... but I love the ones I have and am glad I have them. Wouldn't ever get them removed.

Got 2 fairies on shoulder blade and small of back; 1 butterfly on the ball of my right shoulder and a thorny vine thing with green orbs winding up my left bicep. Disgustingly girlie

I've been thinking of getting one on the inside of my right wrist, it would be my first one. may be naive questions but i'm a little worried will the needles go too deep to get one there? - there are veins, does it increase chances of getting some kind of infection when veins are so close to the surface of where you're getting ink put in? it has special significance so that's where i'd like it if possible. sorry if stupid questions
