Well, alot of it is because the popular perception of Vietnam was that the politicians screwed the military over. So we're concerned over how our politicians effect our militarys ability to do its job.

Yeah, fair enough.

Is this just the military section of the debate? Will there be talk later about, like, running the country?

Hmm, Kerry reserves the right to pre-empt. Interesting to those who are against the whole concept.

Be assured, I threw something at the television.

Hey, when are they going to address the problem of Israel's nuclear programme? Oh, that's right, we don't talk about that in polite circles.

Tonight is foreign affairs and such things.

(To take a cheap political pot shot - don't take it too seriously)

President Bush's entire foreign affairs is "attack", so there isn't a whole lot more to talk about.

Neither wants to touch that with a ten-foot pole (well, probably especially Kerry).

Honest truth is, anything that even sounds remotely anti-Israel is political suicide in America. Right or wrong, thats how it is.

Hunt down terrorists
1. Bush: you gotta have a president who'll persue the terrorists

But:
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

I had a funny feeling Kerry was going to perform poorly even though his track record in debating is good. From what I'm seeing he is doing better than even he could have expected. The split screen on CSPAN is not friendly to Bush, he does have a penchance for puzzled looks which don't lend an air of composure.
