Byrnhild "Burn" Argamand

Appearance: Tall, lean, and strong, though not broad or incredibly masculine in figure. One cannot tell much about this person, save from the armor and his own words and skill on horseback that he is Rohirric. He wears the full brigandine leather and iron Rohirric mail, as well as enough light cloth hanging or bulging from the gaps that it is impossible to see even a centimeter of skin. Most of the clothing is dark blue, and the armor dark brown.

Hair: Long, silky black hair that is held back and allowed to cascade out the back of his helmet is the only sign of "Burn"'s body that anyone can see. It reaches down to the lower back, and has become a trademark along with the secretive dress and fierce fighting prowess.

Voice: A bit high for a ragged Rohirrim Outrider, but not enough that anyone's questioned his masculinity.


Equipment: Standard Outrider armaments, those being wooden round shield and lance, as well as a broadsword of steel.


History: Burn is an outrider of the Rohirrim, but little is known of him by the peasants he normally protects. He rides with only his horse, Redwind, as a companion, and is adamant in his defense of the innocent and the slaying of Orcs. While he prefers to work alone, many a Rohirric milita-man in the Emnets can boast having been recruited to drive off brigands and orcs.

Byrnhild Argamand took on the name "Burn" when she first became a Shieldmaiden of Rohan. ... Oh, I'm sorry! Did I fail to specify she was a woman before saying that?!

While womanhood is nothing to hide among the warriors of Rohan, Byrn has her dirty secret. The root of her intense hatred for Orcs and love for the innocent is because of the method of her conception. She is the result of an Orcish raider's lust, and deeply hates the race for hers and her mother's suffering. She was not the only half orc to grow up in that village, and so she was not shunned, but it seemed that a martial career was all that would give her true satisfaction. Because her uncle was a horse-breeder, she was able to learn how to ride, as well as gain connection to a Rohirric noble who trained her to become a warrior alongside his son, Helmdyr.

Byrnhild and Helmdyr rose up in the ranks of the Rohirric military, and were eventually counted among the famed Outriders, who kept the countryside of Rohan safe. He is one of the few of her rank who actually knows of her heritage, and ever since a fight that broke up when they were cadets, she plans to keep it that way. Her training and Orcish descent have blessed her with above-average strength, even for the hardy stock most Rohirric women come from, but her life of self-imposed solitude and bitterness make her just that; solitary and bitter. She is difficult to get along with after a long period of time, but learning her secret(by accident!) and treating her with respect and kindness will earn you a special place in her heart.
