CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I do check for hebrew threads once in a while. but threads move so fast here that I often miss them. but thanks for inviting me to stick around.
I know what you mean by little patience and respect, when that happens to me, I go on vacation for a while, so to speak. I too come mostly for debate. Or rather, once I get an idea of what ideas other people have and how it relates to my own ideas, then I should be satisfied. but if I am not, that's when it becomes pointless for me. So a few months ago I was happy to discover views that really scared me, and then when I could almost predict responses, I kept to looking for hebrew threads.

I started reading this thread the other night, and it got too late to finish, and I wanted to comment, now you're talking food
I just wanted to say to Jewish Heart, dear one, certainly you have to expect different opinions where ever you go.
In this type of faceless discussion(for the most part) it is a bit impersonable, and not always easy to get ones complete perspective out, so we shoud reason in the L_rd, as well as,
Pro 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
How better to do such than to question, listen, learn.That doesn't invalidate one's opinion because all don't agree, but can actually sharpen the steel if you will, of our faith.I think a good case is being made that we Christians may have tried to take the Jew out of Yeshua, and many of the discussions I have seen here are a great reminder of what Yeshua believed and followed.
In light of the persecutions some calling themselves followers of Christ, have inflicted upon our Jewish brethren, I find it important that we cannot allow such to ever happen again.When one feels hatred, and speaks etc...such against the Jews, then they are speaking against the race of Messiah IMHO.
Hope I didn't confuse the issue more.
