  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob; and worthless men banded together with Jephthah and went out raiding with him." (Judges 11:3 NKJV)

Jephthah, just like David (1 Samuel 22:1-2) after him took time to build the worthless men that God brought to them. As captains of God's people they provided platforms for others to strive and become valuable in God's hands and programmes.

It is a difficult thing to build a team from ground up. It is easier to select ready-made team members.

The joy of a builder is to see stones, sand, cement, wood and every material used in building a house come together as a building. These materials are worthless on their own, but when they are in the hands of a builder, something glamorous emanates from them.

Jesus, the Master Builder, made apostles from worthless men in the society. He made them fishers of men, as promised. He never gave up on them, He kept on encouraging them and patiently waited for their best to manifest.
