Surprised by what? I read Rolling Stone, I'm familiar with their articles. Dateline they aren't.



We have friends who're married, who swing. The third Tuesday of the month, they open up their house to about 10 couples and they all show up in skimpy clothes and have sex with eachother all over the house. They're heterosexual, frankly they're homophobic... They outright hate gay people.

So, since they're straight, I guess it's safe to say that swinger-orgies are entirely natural for straight people, and it should be equated a normal heterosexual practice.

So tell me, what day of the month do you open up your doors to wild orgies?

Your friends are immoral adulterers. They are just as bad as the homosexuals..

Yes, I noticed that he is rarely edifying, usually finger pointing, and even that done unjustly and unfairly in a feeble effort to condemn a community for the actions of one in order to distract everyone from the log in his eye.

And he habitually bears false witness, but since he is forgiven, he seems to believe he is free to do so repeatedly.

If I could put him on ignore, I would. Instead, I feel like we have to constantly act like a watchdog lest someone read his tripe and think it true.

Oh yea, I can at least admit my wrongs and my sins. I feel contrition many times.. But you don't about your lifestyle, you think its ok, you won't admit its wrong.. and thats what Im calling you out for..I have commited things like lust, pride, and greed, but at least I know they are bad things and that I need to fight against them, not accept them and live in denial..

You base your moral on what you think personally. Yea and billions of other people have different opinions, but do they have universal truth??

I hadn't heard that. This makes a lot more sense to me now. I can understand, hypothetically, why some people would have an HIV fetish. There is a tendency to fetishize things that one is afraid of, or that are generally considered taboo and fearful. Given the fear that the country, and especially the gay community, had of HIV when it first became well known, this was probably inevitable. But it does make more sense when placed in the same category as amputation and castration fetishes. A handful of people find the ideas arousing; maybe 2 people actually do it.

I am prone to the sorts of curiosity that kill cats--a while ago, I clicked on a few links somebody had offered under the title, "Absolutely do not click on these!" In the brief glimpses I got while fumbling for the "back" button, I was able to notice two things:
A: they were "scat" porn.
B: they were definitely marketed for heterosexual men.

I guess that's a straight thing, too.

Personally I saw the point in posting it as being something entirely different and one that most of the objections so far posted seem to prove.

The point is that if this same behavior, a behavior that does pose risks to all of society, were being done by nearly any group other than gay men, there would be a huge issue made of it. The CDC would be all over it and there would be steps being taken to stop it. The reason that there aren't is exactly illustrated by the reactions here. Any mention of the behavior, and mention of it being wrong is taken as an attack against all homosexuals.

I don't think anybody here believes or has suggested that the article is an attack against homosexuals. The OP has a history of bringing up vile and extremely rare practices and claiming that they are the norm for homosexual people.

Had, say, Beanieboy posted this, it would have gotten a very different reaction....I was going to say that it would probably have been a meaningful thread, but I'm not sure that that's possible with this article as an OP.

There really isn't a whole lot of meaningful conversation that one can get out of this. Nobody has gotten up on a soapbox and denounced it yet because it pretty much denounces itself. The condemnation of the act is so obvious that it just feels like an insult to one's own intelligence and the intelligence of everybody around to spell it out.

I will though, if it would get that pink elephant out of the room.

Deliberately infecting people with HIV is morally reprehensible. Deliberately exposing oneself to HIV is extremely irresponsible, bordering on completely insane.

For the record, I also disapprove of child rape, the experiments performed by Dr. Mengele and whoever it was last summer, in town near mine, who stole a puppy and impaled it on a cast iron fence.

These are all very naughty things to do, regardless of the sexuality of the people involved.

I don't see countless threads about your person struggles or sins, only those of others. I also see your blantant lies, false facts that you call truth, and love that is slander at best, hatred at worst.

So, at best, you are a Pharisee, and your words have no power.

I will also agree that this is the first that I have ever heard of "bug chasers", people intentionally trying to contract HIV. I've never met anyone like that, never read a personal, never heard of talk of it in the bar.

It's very sad. I'm unclear of why one would want to do that, but people are pretty complicated.

The OP's point is to try to show how homosexuals in general are therefore putting us in danger. I posted a link, having never heard of this, that showed that it was more fantasy (an equallyl bizarre fantasy) than reality.

I'm sure that Renton will find a way to say that the simple fantasy will somehow put him at risk.

It's really tiresome.

ok if thou shall not kill is how you base your morals then stop eating.. everything you eat has been alive at one time, stop breathing because you are killing life

If you think this is the place to admit and repent our wrongdoings to each other, then go ahead. Not sins in the distant past, but what you are struggling with now. If you are not willing to do that yourself, stop bothering these people with calling them out to do it.

And who are the wealthy businessmen flying out to the Far East to have sex with teenage girls?

Who are the middle aged guys kerb-crawling in most large Western cities of an evening looking for women that have been illegally trafficked into the country or have serious drug problems?

Did you know roughly 13% of men who used prostitutes said the fact she was forced into that situation bothered them? What does that tell us? That are straight men are filthy scum perhaps? Maybe not...

Seriously, millions of straight men go out to basically buy sex, feeling they are entitled to a one night stand just because they paid for dinner. Many think it appropriate to boast about sexual exploits and degradation of women they use for sex. Some seem to think 'she doesn't understand me' is an excuse to be out having sex with some poor sex slave.

To the OP: TLDR.

It's a defeatist attitude. Some gays (that's some, not all) believe that contracting AIDs is inevitable, and that they may as well get it over with. This is very sad that some people feel this way, and is disheartening to say the least.

That said, it looks like our dear friend Renton is starting to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors MercyBusted and LittleNipple. Don't start down this path Renton, it only leads to a dead end.
