  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No doubt this has been posted before but I can't find it. What are the views of this film? I've just finished watching it and I thought it was actually really good. I expected it to be totally anti-religion and glorfying 'playing God' but it was in fact the opposite. I was quite surprised.

It also helps show that God can't just answer yes to everyone's prayers and the whole "You can't make someone love you by interfering with free will" thing was so true. After all, God doesn't force us to love him.

What does everyone else think of this film?

I like the idea behind Bruce Alimighty. I didn't like the execution. But I did find it to be a good movie.

I think it's a step in the right direction, and I find it sad and a little frustrating that there was more of a Christian message in it than I saw in the Frank Peretti movie that was on ABC Family right before Halloween.

I liked it. I thought it was pretty funny. I thought they could have totally left out the f-bomb...it just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the movie to me. But, it was good...."It's gooooood!" :D LOL.

And his prayer to God at the end...what a beautiful thing to say about the love of your life...so sweet! "No. I want her to be happy, no matter what that means. I want her to find someone who will treat her with all the love she deserved from me. I want her to meet someone who will see her always as I do now, through Your eyes."

So yeah, good movie. :)
