Browser Poll

So, which browser are you using??? I'm sure that this has been done here before, but since the numbers tend to shift from month to month, it'll be interesting to see what the current trend is. Of course the results might be somewhat skewed because the demographic that would visit a computer and internet forum is rather distinct from the bulk of computer users as a whole...but oh well!

As for me, I use Camino and occasionally Firefox (both on the Mac).

Firefox, unless a site either doesn't work correctly/I need to get it out through the Temporary cache or I need to capture something with the scrolling option in SnagIt. In those cases, I'll switch over to IE.

How on earth can any poll on browsers be considered accurate when it doesn't include OmniWeb for the Mac?????

Whoops, I knew I was forgetting something. But seriously, I think that they want around USD $30 for OmniWeb, which is just... strange. With so many viable & completely free choices on the market now, the days when people will actually pay for a browser are long gone. It seems that even Opera has thrown in the towel and started to distribute the full Windows and Mac versions of their browser free of charge.

Personally, I use Safari.

I actually like Safari and would use it if not for the fact that it has trouble with auto-detection of character encodings. It'll occasionally mistake Shift_JIS pages for EUC-JP pages and vice versa. Since about 95% of the sites that my wife and I view on the net are in Japanese, that can get annoying real fast. Other than that, it's a nice browser with a lot of useful features.

When I am on my PC I tend to use IE as well. I haven't had any problems with it since SP2 last year.

Most of the time I am on my Mac, but not always.

It's very easy not to be impressed with Firefox.
You gotta download all the extra junk you want to customize it,and even then it doesn't display CF correctly.

Avant Browser comes with everything I want already installed and displays my favorite website perfectly.

What exactly does 'Avant Browser' include that Firefox does not?

I also have firefox problems on CF.

Firefox is my default browser when I'm on the net but I have to run IE when on CF.

Never heard of avant-I'll have to check it out.

Unless I have no choice but to use Firefox, I'll use Konqueror
If I can't have any of the two, I'll use IE... but that's really the last option ever...

Their cothing isn't dancing on other people's posts?
And what about the advanced reply box?Does it work like it should?
Can you view the Custom User Title fonts and their glows and shadows?
These are all problems I've had with Firefox.
