I'm so bored I need some new places to visit here...

I used to live on the sunny coast (so know most places up there), and spent most weekends driving down the coast (so know most places around there)...

What I want to know is - do you know of any nice little drives around brisbane to funky little-known areas??? I just need to expand my geography a bit!

Thanks!

Personally, I think sydney is a hole - too smelly, tiny streets and houses only 1cm apart - and everyone is just so rude and unfriendly...

Plus last time I went down there, I was walking down the city by myself, and I was accosted by THREE men who told me 'man you're beautiful, I don't want to abduct you, but **** (insert swear word here) you are hot!' that really scared me A LOT...

Too many gangs...

Now, if I were to move - MELBOURNE!!! Me love melbourne!!!

well the one in mt gravatt (garden city christian church) had a fire in a smaller room, it wasnt the actual church that got burned. but apparently it was caused by someone who went into the younger youth group (from the older group) and started hassling the youth. he then got told to leave (nicely of course) and he didnt take it to well, and decided to torch one of the rooms... (this is only what ive heard from my pastor, so i dont know the full facts)

I have only been to Sydney as a visitor as most Aussies who live Interstate do. And, I think I like Melbourne as a shopping centre better. But...Oh that lovely Sydney Harbour view! The Opera House! The lights at night!! But, I was taken to David Jones in Sydne and really wasn't impresed a great deal. But...there are some beaut shops in Sydney!
Especially in those little Arcades.

I went to Manley on the Manley Ferry! Well...I went over on a white one...and came back in the Manly green and yellow ferry. Oh boy! Did I have a lovely icecream in Manley!!
I also went to the Ballet at the Opera House...and to the Academy of Music of course...
But...the traffic!!! And, what's that big building on the Harbour that looks as if all the windows are blue? I stayed in the Blue Mountains. That was nice. But...Sydney is so overpriced in housing! Melbourne isn't as expensive! I mean...all you get for all that money after all is a house! Parking in Sydney is a nightmare. When I was there with my husband we got booked. But...it's a pretty harbour! And the Bridge is stunning.
A lightpole fell on a ladies car on the Henry Bolte Bridge here not long ago.
She wasn't hurt, but the car looked a bit crook.

Ummm....if you had a problem with people being unfriendly, well I guess the Gold Coast gets unfriendly once a year with schoolies...it's a good thing I went to HK instead of the Gold Coast to have myself eternally regretful and embarrased...lol....

That is scary, but it's not as bad as my example in San Souci(Also in Sydney). This is where I realised my father was a prick. I was walking near the beach shore line, and my aunt from HK was around as well(I was 16-17ish)....anyway near the toilets a guy skinny and casually dressed came out and looked at me. I thought he was looking at my watch, and he asked me..."You're kinda cute, you wanna go in the toilets for a little..."

I got scared, ran to my aunt and my mum, and said, we really need to leave. And told them about it, my aunt saw that guy come near me and so everyone wanted to leave.

My father said, lets take a look at the nice houses that has an ocean view. And everyone wanted to leave because of the pedofile...my brother was only 13-14ish at that time....

And my father said, "Oh tell him to believe in Jesus, come on lets take a look at the houses...it's really nothing to worry about Jimmy, if you have Jesus in the heart"
