they are wanting to start up new church to make the "end times" come quicker?

if i read that, these people are crazy! you preach the Gospel to reach a person with Christ's teachings, not to obtain oblivion.

That's just one of the explantions I've heard about why Judus betrayed Jesus.

so that His hand would be forced and He would become the thundering messiah the Jews were expecting.

i was going to say something along that but you got to it before me

yea it's kind of like what i remember hearing about how Christians stand up Israel for it is the end times.

inadvertantly, we stand up for either sides, means we stand for bloodshed happening to speed fast the coming of Jesus. sometimes i really wonder if the preterists are right.
