I don't understand how people could believe in all this "evolution" and "big bang" stuff. When scientists say that we are related to monkeys, IM NOT A MONKEY!!! I dont know how or where they got that rubish from. I mean, just because they have fingers like us doesnt mean that we evolved from them. Dogs have eyes, we do to, fish have lips, so do we. Im just sayin, how on earth did evolution occur if there are still monkeys around? Dont you think that the monkeys woulf be evolved like us too? So why arent they? Tell me that. Also this big bang crud. I mean, your telling me that I was created from some rock that smashed into another rock? Go outside and find two rocks, smash them together as hard as you can, then tell me if humans pop out.

You seem to be confused about what the Big Bang theory is. It has nothing to do with the origin of life.

It also has nothing to do with two rocks banging together. I'm also never going to understand how that became the accepted defenition of the Big Bang among the fundie creationist circles.

The Big Bang theory is a cosmological model. Its purpose is to explain how the stellar phenomena we see, galaxies and the like, came to develop. It says absolutely nothing about the formation of life.

What you are thinking of, perhaps, is abiogenesis, which deals with the origin of life.

Did someone really tell you that two rocks smashing together is where humans came from? Sounds like something the infamous "doctor" Kent Hovind would assert. Firstly, the ToE doesn't attempt to explain the origin of life. Secondly, that would be called abiogenesis, not evolution.

We share a common ancestor with monkeys, dogs and fish. Nothing in evolution says that you evolved from a modern day animal.

Have you ever heard the saying "know thine enemy"? I suggest that if you want to attack scientific theories, that you actually try and learn what they say, otherwise your rants will have no impact.

Unfortunately, it's quite common to see those who don't understand evolution or Big Bang, expose how little they understand about them in attempting to argue against them.

I suspect you've simply believed far too much of what you've been told by people who hold nearly zero understanding of either of these theories. It's not your fault. You just need to realize that you've been exposed to a lot of fallacies and if you want to understand, you're going to have to listen objectively. There are a number of people here who are very well versed in both of these theories and can provide you with a lot of information which will allow you to see where you've been misdirected -- if you want to know.

To start with, the word you're looking for is "apes", not "monkeys". Your mother and father are apes, (it's a biological classification which humans fit). So like it or not, you're descended from apes.

Big Bang has nothing to do with smashing two rocks together. I'm not sure who told you that but perhaps you'd like to invite them into the forum so that they can be exposed to the actual workings of the theory.

I believe, cladistically, you, and me, are monkeys, but someoene else with more knowledge in that field will be able to confirm. You are, however, related to monkeys in the same way that you are related to cousin.

It's a lot more than just that. How much have you studied the evidence for evolution? It's better to ask questions and study the evidence than make blanket statements like that.

There is no reason why they should be. There is no ladder of evolution, no pinicle that all species are aiming for. Evolution is the reason for diversity in species.

If you think that's what the big bang is, then it's no wonder you consider it crud. Please tell me you didn't learn this in school. The big bang was an expansion of space-time. There was no explosion and certainly no rocks.

There are many many scientists today who are moving away from these 2 thoeries. They are starting to see that they just don't make any sense. There is no hard core proof or evidence that either of these thories are correct. They are exactly what they are called "thoeries". Many people cannot accept the fact that there is one God who created everything. This does not make sense to them and just cannot be correct. Just as we feel there "thoeries" cannot be correct. But again. Many scientists today have changed there opinion on this. I have seen many studies that have been done where these scientists are starting to believe in creation.
My suggestion to you bobochristian is to do more study on these topics. Be ready to argue and prove why they cannot be correct. Research these new studies that have been done and use the new research to state your case. Be very careful about posting generalized statements about this argument on here. There are many who are ready to prove you wrong and feel they have the proof. But again it is all thoeries! So please do some research of your own and then come back ready to debate with your proof! This is a very heated topic and even harder when you are not prepared to stand behind your statements!
