  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There is also Silent Reflux where they spit it up but them swallow it again and it doesn't come out. If she is crying a lot after meals I would get it checked out because it could hurt.... like acid reflux for adults it can damage their.... well I forget what, but its not good :)

Overactive letdown is when the let-down is SO intense that it leaves the baby sputtering and freaking out because he/she is overwhelmed with way too much milk at once. It also is a huge gassiness factor, because the baby can't stay latched on properly... so gulps down air along with milk.

One way to combat this, is when you feel the letdown happening, to unlatch the baby and let the worst of it squirt into a cup or towel or something, then when it slows a little, put the baby back on the breast to nurse. Some moms keep the milk and add it to what they're keeping in the freezer/fridge, while others don't bother.

I would hand express(using your hands to press on the breast to get milk out) as much as I could to help with overactive let down.

I also only nursed on 1 breast for the entire feeding and at some points would even use the same side several feedings in a row to help with overactive let down.
