Sheriff: Polk County Deputy Arrested, Accused of "Written Threats" About Capitol Riots

The deputy, Peter Heneen, has been with the department for about six and a half years and will be terminated, Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Judd said Heneen had made comments such as "Need to make the streets of D.C. run red with the blood of the tyrants" and "should have dragged the tyrants into the streets and executed them."

There’s John Strand, a fashion model who displayed his six-pack on the cover of a raunchy novel, “Howl for It.”

There’s Simone Gold, the Beverly Hills concierge doctor who crusaded against mask-wearing for months, only to be caught on video wearing one inside the Capitol as insurrectionists taunted police.

There’s Gina Bisignano, whose Beverly Hills salon for eyelash extensions and facials has suffered bad publicity since she was seen perched on the ledge of a Capitol window as a man next to her rammed a fire extinguisher into the glass.

And there’s Hunter Ehmke, a 20-year-old graduate of Glendora High School who was captured on video smashing his fist through another Capitol window. An acquaintance remembered him as a “sweet little boy” and wondered what went wrong.

Hank Muntzer was arrested Monday by Dillon Police on a federal warrant. He was being held in the Missoula County Detention Center as of Thursday morning.

Muntzer told the Dillon Tribune on Jan. 13 he went inside the U.S. Capitol Building on the day the violent riot occurred.

But Ulrich argued without further explanation that the charges against Williams were “overstated.”

She also sought to characterize allegations that Williams changed her phone number after the riot as an attempt to protect herself from an abusive ex-boyfriend, rather than an effort to escape authorities.

She's been released into her mother's custody.

I'm not surprised that there weren't some more of the idiotic people who are Orthodox. We have our own very insular groups who like to rail at anything remotely close to common sense. According to them, 19th century Russia was the ultimate peak of Orthodoxy. "Was there being electric lights in 19th century Russia? I think not!"

I can't read that specific article, but IIRC isn't that what her attorney told the judge in court at the bail hearing? If so it's not stupid as she is clearly on video and the attorney is trying to get a judge to let her go until trial. It also gives a preview of their defense "yes, she was there but understood it was OK because the President told her to go to the Capital". I think a lot of those arrested will take that approach and use the fact that they were posting themselves in the Capital to try and support that they believed is was allowed because of what Trump said.

But yeah, they were pretty naïve for believing that.

I'm thinking many of the lawyers aren't going to try for "not guilty" verdicts as much as they are going to try and get reductions in charges and mild sentences by invoking Trump's comments.

Texas attorney Paul Davis, who was fired earlier this month after posting several Instagram videos of himself on the front lines at the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, filed an impressively grandiose lawsuit in federal court on Monday, requesting that Congress disappear entirely and that nearly everyone who holds high office in the United States, along with Mark Zuckerberg, be barred from ever seeking election or voting again. He also asked the court to tell the Justice Department and FBI not to arrest him.

When federal agents asked Houston police officer Tam Dinh Pham why he was in Washington during the pro-Trump riot at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month, he said he had traveled there on business and then attended the president’s rally on a whim. But most importantly, Pham told the agents, he did not go inside the Capitol during the attempted insurrection.

That’s when an FBI agent showed him his own deleted images and videos from inside the Capitol Rotunda on Jan. 6, according to court documents.

Faced with the photo evidence, Pham then allegedly admitted to climbing over torn-down fences to get inside. But still, he insisted his reasons were benign: He just wanted the rare opportunity to view “historical art,” investigators said.

William McCall Calhoun Jr.—a Georgia lawyer who bragged online about kicking in the office door of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol—has been denied release from imprisonment because of his numerous Twitter, Facebook and Parler posts promising to execute Democratic leaders and followers.

Calhoun Jr.'s posts allegedly spoke of taking "violent retribution against the media and the Democrats" and of his desire to see Black Lives Matter (BLM) protesters "stacked up high" in "body bags." He once allegedly told a BLM supporter on Twitter, "You won't be laughing when patriots go door to door executing you commies."

"God is on Trump's side," Calhoun Jr. allegedly wrote in one post. "God is not on the Democrats' side. And if patriots have to kill 60 million of these communists, it is God's will. Think ethnic cleansing but it's anti-communist cleansing."

Other companies have also taken action against employees identified in the many photos from inside the Capitol. Even the CEO of a data analytics firm found himself without a job following his arrest.
