Hey! I'm a week old on this site and to forums, period. Where are all the Branson Christians? I know this area is full of a multitude of professing Christians who are luke-warm, at best. But, there are a few who are awake to the reality of the Lord. Where are you? I was hoping I'd find you here.

Hello!!! How's it going? I'm a single father with two small sons, 8 and 7. We were there on Saturday (Target, ToysRus, Mardel's). My eldest is also into "Orangina" (an orange drink from Canada), and a really good cookie called "Pim's-orange". I really don't mind much though, since I'm the one who saw them and first turned him on to them. Branson doesn't carry them, you do. If you want to try them, we found them at the Price Cutter on Battlefield, by 65. Where do you fellowship. I presume that I don't need to tell you that there is a huge distance between Branson and Springfield. Many times the 35 miles. There is a very thin veneer of "professed" piety over this town, disguising alterior motives and agendas, which I would not have believed 7 years ago, when we moved here. It's like the churches have been infected by the "entertainment" aspect of this town. And, like the shows, 90% is phony - for looks only. I'm speaking in general, of course, but it is still very much the norm here. If you're not aware of it, be glad that you're in Springfield.

I've been to Branson many times after being born and raised in Warrensburg. I remember when pretty much the reason you went to Branson was for Silver Dollar City and maybe go see the Baldknobbers or Presleys. It's REALLY grown since that time. It's got something different every time I come there. I haven't been there in awhile, but will be coming the first weekend of April to help bring our church's youth group down for Young Christians Weekend at Silver Dollar City. My oldest son has been to it a couple of times before and really enjoyed it so we're looking forward to it.

Yes, we do have a lot of entertaining things to do here. Weather is beginning to warm up, but the trees are still barren. Should be prretty sometime in April, though. If you find yourself on 165, a little south of Fall Creek road, yell out for Jesus. If we're not outside to hear you, those who are need to hear it, anyway.

My wife and I lived out side of Branson for about three years before we had to move back to the ST. Louis area. It very beautyfull country and I loved it down there. We lived between a town called Crane and Galena. SO we had a Crane phone number and a Galena mailing address. But didn't live in either place. The first night there the neighbors cows got into it with a cyote that got to close and all the noice woke up my wife. She never lived in the country before and did not know what all the noice was. So she woke my up by kicking me to the floor and told me to go and see what it was. I had no idea at first what was going on when I found my self on the floor. We had some fun times while living there.

Well, we went to Young Christians Weekend and it was a blast! We didn't get on 165 (although I saw it several times!) but you could probably hear the yelling for Jesus all over Branson. I was really impressed with everything and the teens who came. Joe White and David Liggett gave wonderful messages and the groups we saw were pretty powerful too - Tait, Day of Fire, Steve Doedy(sp?) and Sarah Kelly.
