Boycotting Jimmy Kimmel?

Kimmel took fire not because of Hannity, but because he made fun of an immigrant and then bashed Hannity with homo slurs. Both are sacred cows with the left.

Hannity added on the women abuse just for good measure. But Kimmel's own mouth got him in heat.

Never watched the show anyway Don't have any appreciation for dumb humour.

Well if Kimmel was making "homo slurs" then so was Hannity, multiple times, since he repeatedly has said the same thing, just with Obama & Hillary instead of Trump. Whether folks are on the left or the right if they manage to make either Kimmel or Hannity's comments out to be "homo slurs" they've got their heads stuck in the same place both talked about.

Shoot I'm not even an immigrant like Melania but I had my accent made fun of far, far worse than Kimmel's little joke about hers when I was up North. It was mainly my buddies & coworkers enjoying poking at me over it, but random folks I'd meet at stores & whatnot would comment on my thick Southern accent. A total stranger called it a redneck accent, lol. If I ever were to complain about it to my buddies from the South, they'd then enjoy themselves making fun of me for being a snowflake, lol. Some little ribbing about accents & whatnot isn't something most rational folks with a life are going to get their britches in a bunch about.

Bob, I'm an honest person, on account of that I don't talk about something unless it's factual. Now, due to the rules of this forum, I can't always show what I've talked about, which is exactly why I asked you & the other folks to just Google for yourselves. Simple as that. As I said, evidence of Hannity's profanity cannot be posted publicly on account of that profanity not being allowed here. I wasn't falling for that trap. The most recent articles talking about Hannity's mockery of Mrs. Obama & the kids which was on par with Kimmel's light joke about Melania's accent also included Hannity's profanity, so they couldn't be posted either.

Such as today I'll be going down the mountain and to the beach doing a 20 mile bicycle ride with my best friend since the 5th grade who I owned a bicycle shop with back in the 70s. Riding around the bay and down the boardwalk.

(Including a POKE lunch -- raw tuna, rice, seaweed, cucumbers, avocados and some other things?) Better than sex -- don't tell my wife -- not really -- but -- last longer.

Occasionally there will probably be post that I miss. You all do very well carrying on the good fight.

Worse as in cruder, ruder, more hurtful, more unhinged, way more often. So no, Kimmel most certainly has never said anything worse than what Trump routinely does. Now for one thing Kimmel's a late night comedian telling jokes. Trump is supposed to be the POTUS, not a comedian playing for an audience. Instead he spends more time on Twitter than late night talk show hosts. Trump bashes folks regularly, far worse than Kimmel's joke about Melania's accent, with far more detriment. He's attacked & bullied so many folks, from private citizens to celebrities. He's falsely accused folks of things they haven't done. He's attacked companies with the hope of it damaging their bottom line, not giving a dang about the people who work for the company getting hurt along the way. He's constantly saying / Tweeting things that are false. Comparing Kimmel's little joke about Melania's accent is more like stepping on somebody's foot. Trump's attacks on folks is more like driving a truck over somebody, backing up & doing it again & again.

If you think KIMMEL is a slime merchant, then jeepers. What does that make Trump?

Well, there has been an awful lot of ignoring the truth when it has to do with Trump or anyone famous who politically supports him. For instance, there were Republicans who referred to the Obamas as monkeys and one Republican called Mrs. Obama an ape in heels, and yet there hasn't been any righteous indignation from any of Trump's supporters over that shown in this thread. But Jimmy Kimmel makes a joke about Melania Trump's accent and you would think that's the worse insult in the world and he now deserves to be boycotted. If he had insulted the Obamas and made fun of them, I seriously doubt we would hear any objections to that. I will say that this is one of the reasons why I don't take the Religious Right seriously anymore. It's just not possible for me to take them seriously when their moral convictions seem to swiftly change when the political climate is in their favor.

There was content in my post. You were real sweet & colored some of the words. You made a pretty rainbow with your post. It reminded me of this little girl at our church who wrote a thank you note using a different color crayon for each line.

The joke was so tame I doubt Melania would have gotten bunched up about it. Gracious knows with everything else going on that'd cause her hurt & offense, a little quip about her accent hardly makes the list. Hannity was just looking for something to holler about.

Lol, it's not the truth that Kimmel sucks, that's just your opinion. I've never seen Johnny Carson or David Letterman but Kimmel is my favorite on air now.
