Heba Abolaban, a Palestinian doctor who immigrated to the United States from Syria, says she was punched in the shoulder in Malden, Mass., on Wednesday by a man who shouted "F*** you Muslims!" and "You are involved in the Boston explosions," according to the Malden Patch.

Now that it's come out that they're white Muslims, I imagine an increase on hate crimes against Muslims.

No, it's totally the same. But two wrongs don't make a right and pointing out that we need to clean up our own back yard before tackling the injustices in the rest of the world is not wrong. It is not a "victim complex" to point out that people are being unfairly targeted for something they had no involvement in.

All I can tell you is to read through the news reports. The evidence that they were in a shootout with police is that ONE OF THEM WAS SHOT AND BLOWN UP BY HIS OWN BOMB.
