Someone was thinking of the Children. But evidently you can read minds."Flooding across the border!" Everyone panic!
The reason Biden's predecessor wanted migrants to wait in Mexico was not due to some overweening concern for the welfare of children. As we all know, "won't someone think of the children?!" is almost always a scare tactic deployed to sound noble while you're busy trying to discriminate against someone. He didn't like the "dirty furners" that were allegedly """pouring""" across the border, so he cruelly made them wait in the country they were fleeing because he was a virulent racist.

Yes, it's a terrible, cruel situation. There are an overwhelming number of unaccompanied children at the border and the authorities, both here and in Mexico, are struggling with it. But these are unaccompanied children, and while that does not excuse the inadequate way they are being housed, at least they were not forcibly separated from their parents at the border and put in those cages--which was the substance of the objection to Trump's policy.I'm not Biden--you know, the guy who occupies the exact same office Trump occupied when he was made out to be responsible for "kids in cages". Now kids are being put in those same cages, and his press secretary won't even address the issue.
Children are coming in unattended. Those that are attended, should be tested with Dna. Anyone not a parent of family member, should be separated from the child. some just pretend these are issues. When the asylum seekers were detained on the other side of the border in conditions no different than here. They still complain. Showing their true colorsAre children still being separated from their families as a deterrent to applying for asylum?
Trump ended the policy quickly, that was in place from the previous administration. Dna tests on any child being accompanied has been a very good addition.Yes, it's a terrible, cruel situation. I didn't see concentration camps. Trump at first did exactly as the previous administration, until he could provide better facilities for them. I don't hear you complaining now about them being in containers with bars on them? Is it really the children for you?If "someone" were thinking of the children, they would have seen to it that children were adequately fed, sheltered, and given the help they need without concentration camp centers at the border.

The us was aiding them finacially and it was not just mexico, nor just Mexicans involved on the other side of the border. If we want to distinguish ourselves from the terrible conditions in Mexico, wouldn't we want to have better conditions than over there? That's a little like saying, "But they do it too!".
Biden was not left with a mess. He created one.You weren't looking hard enough. The facilities on the border where inhabitants had to get a court order for soap certainly qualified.
No, I agree: I want to see the concentration camps end. Biden was left with a mess that I don't think is his fault at all, and I trust him far more than I would his predecessor to do right by those kids. But we'll see, and I promise you that if he doesn't, I'll be as harsh with him. Bad immigration policy has, unfortunately, been a bipartisan issue.

Nope. It was not his policies that left us with migrant children in concentration camps.

Those places were made vacant when Trump left office. It was biden's announcements about giving amnesty that spurred people in Honduras to form caravans once again to our border. Now we have children in biden concentration camps, even though his own press secretary won't comment on it.
It is now biden's problem since he's responsible for creating it.
Political spin labels aside, on what basis are stating Hondurans were inspired (or "spurred" ) by "biden's announcement about giving amnesty"?
a. link to the alleged statement by BIden
b. interviews with Hondurans
Better than having them separated. If that was the substance of the objection to Trump's policy, then would you have been ok with it if the parents had been put in the "cages" as well?
