This would have been a good idea when separating families because of concern that the children were being shepherded into the country by wily human-traffickers. That would’ve been definitive proof of “who belonged with whom”, which would have come in handy after the previous administration was told to reunite these families, but that’d’ve cost money.Those that are attended, should be tested with Dna.

We’re talking about paying a foreign government to detain people that they (by International Treaty) have no right to hold (save for laws broken while in Mexico). 5) Just BTW, the number that skipped their trial dates under Obama were low. But the Obama process of waiting 4 years for a hearing will not work, and requiring a 4 ever old to appear without an advocate is ridiculous.
We have laws. They will be upheld. HOWEVER, reversing trump's debacle cannot happen in a few weeks. There are still some parents to be found for the Trump children.

1) Unaccompanied children cannot be held at the border for more than 72 hours. If army bases are not acceptable, and tent cities are accpeptable, then hotels will be used or built, and they needn't be at the border.
2) What we need is a system for initial processing within 72 hours. This will take hundreds of immigration judges and advocates.
3) And, yes, if there are to be further hearings, there must be a way to track the children.
4) With regard to families, they too should be processed within 72 hours.
