CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Army still has the black boots? Also, what's with all the velcro on the uniform? Oh I was suprised up at MOS school in NC one day when I walked by a female in the Army, she stopped to ask me a question, and when she pulled away from me, I realized that she was an officer! Because their rank insignia is black on their collar (unlike in the Marines as an officer it's well...very shiny! 
) and I had saw her oak leaf on her cover, i'm like oh ****, salute!

Haha, the only black shoes the Army has are the dress shoes for your Class A and Class B.
Uhm, normally rank is in the middle of their chest. The insignia on thier PC's ( soft caps ) are shiny. Thats pretty much the only time you'll see rank shine.

My brother's uniform cracked me up ... he hates 'em btw...and is still grumbling about the old uniforms...ht thinks it's a pain to get all the patches perfect when before you could sew 'em on and be done with it
5 days 'til he's in the litter box again...2nd tour already...15 months this time
we didn't even do taht to our guys in 'nam! day 366 and you were on your way home....
ah well...policy is policy needs of the <fill in branch>.

Yeah, velco does not exactly translate into "being tactical" in the field. Nothing like hearing someone rip into a cargo pocket while were trying to exercise light and noise discipline.
Well, we did have a draft then to fill the numbers needed then. We are in somewhat of a different situation now.
Enough said about that (on this thread anyway).
